The Lake Dreamland Fire Department has started a Volunteer Firefighter Rapid Response Program w/nominal fee and is currently accepting applications.
To qualify and volunteer for the program you must meet the following criteria:
1. Application for volunteer rapid response program on file 2. Must be current and active with this or another Fire Department 3.Current Firefighter Fit for Duty Letter 4.150 Certified Ky State Training hours upto 2011 standards 5. NFPA Certified fire Gear (LDFD can provide for shift if necessary) 6.Current Drivers License and Insurance
Volunteer Firefighter Rapid Pesponse Hours:
Monday through Sunday 8pm to 8am LDFD Station #2 if unable to work a full 12 hour shift we can accommodate with 8 and 10 hour schedules. Individual Sleeping Quarters, Newly remolded lounge, bathroom and kithen area.
Saturday and Sunday 8am to 8pm at LDFD Station #1 also newly remolded Lounge, Kitchen and Bathrooms.
Purpose: The purpose of the Rapid Response shifts for Volunteer Firefighters is to offer Volunteers Firefighters an additional opportunity to contribute to the operation of the Lake Dreamland Firer District by participation in a structured program to enhance services that compliment the contributions of other Volunteers and Career Firefighters.
